- Halloween is traced back to ancient Celtic celebrations. In these celebrations, tales and rumors are told. Who is the common hero in these stories that visits the underworld each year to defeat a famous dweller responsible for the burning of the Hall of Tara?
How to Play:
- Submit your answer to one of our Halloween trivia questions with at least 2 credible sources to back up your answer.
- You’ll submit a short response for the answer.
- Then submit the full references for your two sources; you can use APA, MLA, or the Chicago citation styles.
- Submit your response through the [Submission Form] (link here) and make sure to use your Islander student email address for a valid entry.
- If your answer is accurate and you provide complete reference information for your sources (in APA, MLA, or Chicago citation style), and student email address:

- You can try searching the Bell Library Quick Search, one of the library’s databases, or your favorite web search engine.
- Wikipedia and other online encyclopedias can be a great starting point for research; however, you’ll likely need to dig a little deeper for other sources to answer this question!
