I-Create Lab Assists Islander in Sticker Business

The I-Create Lab sees all types of people daily, from students looking for help on a project to community members curious to see what the lab has to offer. One of the I-Create Lab’s regulars is Graphic Design Major Colton Warren. Colton not only utilizes the I-Create Lab for classwork, but he is also able to transform his digital art into something tangible to sell; stickers!

Colton is a sticker fanatic, “I love stickers already, so I wanted to convert my art into stickers.” Colton says he has always loved making art, he is passionate about it, and he wants to create for a living. Colton’s favorite sticker, so far, is his Bemo stickers that are inspired by Nintendo’s™ products. Colton is excited to be able to mass produce his work here at the I-Create Lab so he can share his art with the world!

You can catch Colton at the Friday Night Art Walks Downtown; his work will be sold alongside other TAMU-CC students by the Student Art Association. Colton is working on setting up an online shop and is utilizing Twitter and Instagram to showcase and sell his work. If you see him around campus, you can always purchase from him that way.

Colton wants to let all future creatives know that getting your work out there “is a lot easier than you think. There are other people out there to help you who want you to succeed. It’s not a competitive atmosphere at TAMU-CC. The I-Create Lab is super nice, and we have the resources. The I-Create Lab is a God send; I love it!”

As Colton said, it’s easier than it looks. At the I-Create Lab, you can bring your original digital artwork to life. One of our friendly staff will help you prepare your artwork for printing, and at the cost of $3.00 a foot, it’s a steal!

After graduating from TAMU-CC, Colton hopes to join a design firm and become a graphic designer full time. We wish Colton good luck after graduation and hope he continues to visit the I-Create Lab and utilize our services.

Interested in printing out your own stickers? On January 28th, the library will host a sticker making workshop in the I-Create Lab from 3:30-4:30!! We hope to see you there!!
